The Boys Restaurant
Looking for a laid-back spot to satisfy your breakfast or lunch cravings in Santa Maria? The Boys Restaurant, tucked away at 117 N College Dr, is that cozy, no-frills diner locals love to call their own. With a casual vibe that’s perfect for families or groups, it’s the kind of place where the staff greets you like an old friend and the menu feels like comfort food done right.
Now let’s talk food—because that’s really why you’re here. Their Chicken Fried Steak? Crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and smothered in rich country gravy. If you’re leaning toward something sweet, the French Toast is a must-try—thick slices grilled golden, dusted with powdered sugar, and just the right amount of soft. Not feeling breakfast? Go for the Classic Club Sandwich—it’s stacked, savory, and pairs beautifully with a side of crisp hash browns. And for those who like to keep things simple, their 2-egg omelette served with toast hits the spot without overcomplicating things.
The Boys Restaurant doesn’t try to be trendy—it focuses on what matters: good food, friendly faces, and a space where moderate noise just adds to the charm. Whether you’re kicking off a slow morning or grabbing a bite with friends, this neighborhood gem delivers that “just right” diner experience without the fuss.

My first time here since it's been rebought and of course we had to order more than we could eat to try a bite of everything and I'll have to sayyy. We have found our new little spot. It's a hole in the wall place , but a gem. The service was great, super nice and didn't judge when I ordered a whole lotta food for 2 ppl. (We didn't eat all the food. lol just a bite here and there if not more lol ) the food and service was great. I love the look of the interior. Takes you back to a place of nostalgia where gas was $1.10 and little Richie playing on a speaker. My only one lack of star is bc I couldn't relax on the booth. The person sitting behind me would lean back and the back of the chair we both sat I was just pressing against each other. It was playing tug o war towards each other with our backs. lol. It didn't change my thought of returning. We will be back here on weekends :) I will just hope someone tiny will sit behind me.
Thinking of breakfast? Jack's? nah, Pantry? nope, The Boys? Absolutely Ive been a proud patron of The Boys because of their consistency in service and quality. I order the Tri-Tip omelette or the Chilequiles, and they never fail to deliver a fresh meal, that leaves me satisfied and smiling. Absolutely great thing they have going on there.
Never disappoints! Staff cheerful and welcoming! Food came hot and fast! Waitress was on point! Great dinning experience! Loved the music.
